Flamed Acacia

Acacia is a wood rich in history and mystique. In Biblical times it was used for bows and boats because of its impermeable nature and strength. It is still sought today for Helmsman's wheels on ships. This wood was used for the construction of the ARK OF THE COVENANT and many parts of God's Tabernacle (Exodus 25-37).

Flamed Acacia is so luminescent that it looks as if it was impregnated with gold by nature and indeed, the ARK was plated with gold! The golden flame dances beautifully in the light and is a sight to behold.

Black Acacia is in the same family as Koa, which is also an Acacia. Yet, Black Acacia has a marvelous tap tone and deep response, which makes it an excellent alternative to Rosewood.
