Ziricote
is fairly new to most players. It is a wonderful tonewood with aesthetic
and tonal characteristics very similar to the best rosewoods. The sound is
rich and smooth. The wood is dense and heavy so be prepared for a little
more weight. This is one of the most aesthetically interesting of all
tonewoods. The spider wedding figure has been described as having pastoral
scenes. If you get bored with your playing, you can turn the guitar over
and pretend to see images in the wood. Similar to finding images in the
clouds. |
